About Me !!!

I'm Griffin Bowers, a 2D/3D artist and game developer based in Philadelphia. I graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a BA in Interactive Media and Game Development, where I shipped my first title, RavenGuard, and discovered that I'm happiest when I'm building things from scratch.

My toolkit includes Maya, Substance Painter, Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine, and Godot—but the tool I'm most excited about right now is AI-assisted development. I'm currently building Frogs vs Flies, a stylized tower defense game in Godot 4, using Claude Opus 4.6 as my primary coding tool. I'm documenting the entire process to explore a question I think matters: Can artists with real creative skills ship better games faster by working alongside AI?

I believe the answer is yes—but only if you bring taste, craft, and creative direction to the table. That's what I'm here to prove.

When I'm not modeling props or debugging GDScript, you can find me playing roguelikes (Enter the Gungeon, Balatro, Terraria), snowboarding, or theorizing about game design with anyone who will listen.

Currently:

  • Building Frogs vs Bugs in public → https://x.com/gribxgrib

  • Open to freelance 3D art work for indie studios

  • Exploring AI-assisted game development workflows
